Over the years, Gramin Evam Nagar Vikas Parishad (GENVP) has been recognized for its commitment to transparency, innovation, and community-led development. These recognitions are meaningful milestones in our journey and reflect the dedication of the people and communities we work with.

Outstanding Annual Report Award – 2009

On 27 March 2009, GENVP received the CSO Partners’ Outstanding Annual Report Award 2009 for its Annual Report 2007–08.

The award recognized civil society organizations that demonstrated strong transparency, accountability, and communication through their annual reports. GENVP was selected from among 207 Civil Society Organizations across India, making the recognition an important milestone for the organization.

The award was presented to the General Secretary of GENVP by Mr. Wajahat Habibullah, then Central Information Commissioner of India.

The recognition reflected GENVP’s commitment to sharing its work in a way that was clear, accessible, and understandable to its stakeholders and the wider public.

Bihar Innovation Forum – 2007

In 2007, the first Bihar Innovation Forum was organized by the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Project of the Government of Bihar to recognize innovative approaches to rural development.

A panel of experts identified 25 innovations from across the state. GENVP’s initiative, “Dalit Sangarsh Morcha,” was selected and recognized under the category of Innovative Social Organization.

The recognition highlighted GENVP’s efforts to develop community-led approaches for addressing social challenges and strengthening the voices of marginalized communities.

The award was received by GENVP’s General Secretary from Mr. Sushil Kumar Modi, then Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.

Recognition That Inspires Us

For GENVP, these awards are not simply achievements to look back on. They remind us of the importance of staying transparent, innovative, accountable, and connected to the communities we serve.

They also encourage us to continue exploring new ways of working, listening to communities, and supporting people to become active participants in creating change.
